Q. I need to speak to your office, who do I contact?
A. Our contact details are displayed opposite. Please feel free to call us or click on the e-mail button provided. One of our trained staff will be happy to help you.
Q. Are there any set-up charges or any other charges I should be aware of?
A. There are no set-up charges. We will deduct a small fee of £12.50 a week (or part of a week) and only when you are working. We will also deduct £TBA per week for Accident Insurance.
Q. How do I get paid?
A. Upon receipt of payment from your agency we will process your salary, which will be paid by BACS weekly in to your bank or building society account.
Q. How can I check I have been paid correctly?
A. Each time you are paid we will send to you a pay slip detailing you income, expenses and any appropriate deductions to arrive at your net salary.
Q. What expenses can I claim?
A. A sample list is given in the Expenses Quick Guide. If in doubt include it on your expense claim form and let us review it.
Q. Can I claim travel costs to and from my place of work?
A. Yes, providing that your workplace is deemed as temporary by HM Revenue & Customs you are able to claim these costs. It can be difficult to determine if your workplace is temporary, so feel free to contact us for further clarification.
Q. Do I get 100% of my expenses paid back to me?
A. Provided that the expenses claimed are legitimate business expenses, we will reimburse you for 100% of the amount which you have incurred.
Q. What will my employment status be?
A. You will be an employee of Tradepay Umbrella company, so have full employee status unless otherwise agreed or notified. You remain an employee of Tradepay Umbrella Company even when you are between assignments, on holiday, or not working for any reason.
Q. Will I become a director of the Umbrella Company?
A. You will not be a director of the Umbrella Company, and you have no authority to enter in to contracts or assignments with third parties on behalf of Tradepay Umbrella Company.
Q. Does Tradepay find work for operatives?
A. Tradepay is not an employment providing or finding agency, and does not offer any form of work-providing services. You are responsible for contacting agencies or clients for work, then telling us so we can put arrangements in place for the provision of your services.
Q. Can I go to any agency or company?
A. Yes, provided that we can agree terms of business with them. You must provide full details to Tradepay.
Q. What ID do I need to provide?
A. This information is available on our Terms and Conditions and will be sent if you apply to join Tradepay.
